Article 1 – REGISTRATION

You book by phone or e‑mail. Domaine de la Marie will inform you of available dates and booking procedures. The reservation becomes final only after return of the signed rental agreement and payment, within 8 days, of a deposit equal to 30% of the rental amount by bank cheque or bank transfer. The balance must be paid one month before the arrival date by cheque, bank transfer or French holiday vouchers (“chèques‑vacances”). Payment should be made payable to “Bocquet Monique”.

Article 2 – TOURIST TAX

Tourist taxes are payable in addition to the rental price. Depending on the intercommunal authority, these taxes may change between the date the contract is signed and the date of the stay.

Article 3 – SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit specified in the contract must be handed over on arrival before taking possession of the premises. It will be returned to you by post within the week following departure, after deduction of any charges for damages caused. For exclusive bookings of the estate, the amount of the deposit will be defined in the contract.

Article 4 – GÎTE CAPACITY

Please note that accommodation is intended for a specified number of occupants. If you exceed this maximum number with prior agreement of the estate manager, an extra charge of €15 per night per additional person will be applied.

Article 5 – PET POLICY

One pet is accepted per rental subject to the applicable fee. The tenant undertakes to return the rental in an impeccable state of cleanliness so that no trace of the animal remains. Pet droppings must be collected. Pets must be kept on a leash and must not disturb the neighbours. Pets must never be left in the accommodation in the absence of their owner. Any damage caused by animals is the sole responsibility of the tenant and will be deducted from the security deposit. Pets are forbidden in the pool area.

Article 6 – ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES

Arrival times are scheduled in the afternoon between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Departure times are scheduled in the morning before 10:00 a.m. If you cannot arrive within these times, please notify us at 06 22 60 65 94. In the event of an early departure the full amount of the stay remains due. In case of cancellation the deposit paid is retained. We recommend and offer the possibility to subscribe to cancellation insurance via our partner www.albinet.fr. In case of no‑show, the full amount of the stay is due.
On arrival the keys will be handed over (exclusively to the person who signed the contract), together with the house rules and the pool use regulations. At that time they will be informed of safety rules and the operation of appliances (dishwasher, oven, etc.).
The person in whose name the rental contract has been made is required to apply and enforce the rules.
An inventory / check‑out inspection will be carried out at the end of the stay.

Article 7 – SMOKING

In accordance with regulations, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the gîtes. Please use the ashtrays provided outside and make sure to empty them on the day of your departure. Smoking is also prohibited near windows, on the hillside and within the pool area.

Article 8 – BARBECUE

During the dry season fire risk is present. Take care with barbecue embers. Do not light a barbecue in windy conditions. A barbecue is available for your use but must be cleared of ashes and returned clean.

Article 9 – DEPARTURE TIDYING

Return furniture to its original arrangement as on arrival. Strip beds and place sheets in the main room. Also remove any soiled mattress protectors. Dishes must be clean and put away in the cupboards. The refrigerator must be emptied and cleaned. Bins must be emptied and bags placed in the external container provided. Sinks, toilets and showers should be rinsed; kitchen surfaces must be clean even if cleaning is included. Premises must be returned in the same condition as at the start of the rental. If tidying is not done or if dishes are found dirty or not put away, an additional cleaning fee will be charged.

Article 10 – NOISE

The primary and most important rule is common sense and respect for others. Rest and tranquillity are a priority. Do nothing, nor allow members of your party to do anything, that could disturb the neighbourhood; avoid excessive noise or any nuisance, especially in the evening. Music must be turned off from midnight. Sound levels inside and outside the building must be kept low out of respect for the neighbours. The tenant is responsible for controlling the effects of any event or of their rental around the gîte. Sound equipment used must comply with current standards and during the evening must conform to legal decibel limits (outdoor sound systems, “boomers” and subwoofers are prohibited). Any breach may authorise the owner to stop the event. Criminal and civil consequences are the sole responsibility of the tenant. In case of conflict or complaint, the owner reserves the right to exclude disruptive persons from the gîte. Fireworks, rockets and firecrackers are not permitted.

Article 11 – APPLICABLE LAW

The parties elect domicile at their registered offices. French law alone applies. Any dispute arising in connection with the contract shall be within the jurisdiction of the courts of the company’s registered office.

Article 12 – INTERNET CONNECTION

When using the gîte’s internet connection, the tenant agrees to respect laws on downloading and website access. If requested by the competent authorities, the owner will provide the contact details of the tenant who used the connection.

Article 13 – POOL

The pool is reserved for residents from arrival until 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. It is not supervised. The pool is accessible daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you wish to swim outside these hours, please consult us. Children are only allowed in the pool area when accompanied and supervised by their parents. To avoid accidents, running near the pool or diving is prohibited. Please do not use your gîte’s towels for the pool. To preserve a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, ball games, large inflatable toys, tobacco, monokinis, animals and food are not permitted in the pool and/or its surroundings. Bringing any glass objects or containers into the pool area is prohibited. Plastic glasses will be offered for purchase.

Article 14 – SUSPENSIVE CONDITION

The reservation will take effect upon payment of the accommodation deposit.
